Raz van Hoinaru ,

Graduated with an award from University of Sheffield, UK BA(Hons) International History and Politics, MA Public Administration from the National School of Political Science and Public Administration Bucharest, MSc International Business Economics and Management from KU Leuven, Belgium, still PhD candidate at Queen Mary University of London. Business minded, policy consultant by vocation, economist by education, and historian by heart, all together and all separately recommends Rav as a ‘man of social sciences and society’. He work has spanned across public affairs agencies, government bodies, private companies, lobby and Parliament in-house policy development and advocacy. Holding almost 10 years of experience at the European Parliament as cabinet member for the (former) vice-chair of Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and Chairman of the IFRS Permanent Team, MEP Theodor Stolojan, Raz met with representatives from both public and private sectors to discuss how to add in 'adding value' and find winning combinations, especially in financial reporting standards. As an academic he has been teaching at Queen Mary University of London, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania, organised conferences on the IASB’s work, sustainability and contributed to two Financial Reporting Council (FRC) UK studies, along with co-editing his first book New Models for Financing and Financial Reporting for European SMEs: A Practitioners’ view (Palgrave Macmillan), forthcoming 2019.
